H-town's Heir to the Emerald Throne
American Celtic Rock Band
Blaggards (no “the”, pronounced BLA’ GUARDS or BLA’ GHERDS, depending on where you’re from) is an Irish rock band that formed in July 2004 in Houston, Texas.
Lead vocalist/guitarist Patrick Devlin, bassist/vocalist Chad Smalley, and Heide Riggs on fiddle perform Stout Irish Rock. Traditional Irish music mixed with rock n’ roll, informed by everything from Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley to Thin Lizzy and Black Sabbath. They have been compared to bands like Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, and the Pogues.

Rockin’ Acoustic Music
Sometimes you want a traditional ballad, sometimes you just need to dance. River Driver scratches both of those itches and everything in between.
Playing an eclectic mix of traditional Irish Fiddle tunes, pub songs, folk, and classic rock -- get ready to clap and sing with your friends!
Aidan Flanagan has been playing classical violin and Irish fiddle since he was nine years old. His quick licks are accompanied by Michael Logan's dynamic acoustic guitar playing and Jarod's Schmitt's masterful percussion.
Welcome to the Craic!
Celtic Pub Rock from Dallas, TX
Founded in 2014, and named after founder and lead singer Johnny Zercher's Great Great Grandfather, a 19th-century Scots-Irish immigrant, Plunk Murray is proud of the reputation they've established as one of the most fun, slightly rowdy, and exciting Celtic bands in Texas.
While primarily a Celtic band, playing everything from traditional tunes from The Dubliners and The Irish Rovers to more modern songs by The Pogues and Flogging Molly, you're also likely to hear a wide range of "not-so" Irish songs as well. On any given night, you may hear songs by George Strait, The Cure, Men at Work or the Beatles.
At home on large festival stages, small pubs and just about everything in between, Plunk Murray always puts on a great performance that will have you singing along, lifting a pint and cheering for more.
FWSPD is made up of over 20 volunteer members who meet weekly for band practice and spend countless hours practicing on their own. Band members also take rigorous private instruction from world champion musicians and engage in solo and group, piping competitions.
